We have had an amazing response to our appeals, and through the generousity of so many, Mater Domini feels like a real home. A homely home! The rooms are lovingly comfortable with items that have been donated. Indeed, everything in the house has been donated - and the home's existence depends entirely on donations. So we express heartfelt thanks for the support and kindness that makes each day possible.
Our wish list changes from time to time. Now that the house is established our attention has turned to running of the house and providing for the daily needs of the home and the people who stay with us. By helping us with the wish list, you help us in a very real way with our running costs.
Our primary needs lie in consumable and perishable items that are needed on an ongoing basis - for example canned goods, toiletries, food and groceries.
